Flash From The Past: Back To December

My working style is drawing while listening to music so sometimes music really inspired me with its powerful power! But sometimes, I just lost in my own thoughts and forgot to draw Y.Y

This artwork is no exception! Back to that time, I liked Back To December by Taylor Swift so much so I drew this one in I don't know 3 or 4 hours >.< What made me really go crazy I think is the background! For the task 100% traditional, I colour it like a totally mad headed >.< Really really made me sick after that because of the terrible ink-smell. I got headache as a result! However, this is one of my most favourite artworks from when I started to draw to then so headache -> no problem (:

Final touch is spray white ink so it will look like real snow hehe c: I really like it ♥

Valentine is getting nearer and nearer but to people who have no lovers or aren't interested in love (like me), Valentine likes every-normal-day!
But I wish that people who love someone, or have someone very special in their heart, will have a unforgettable Valentine!

So these days, I'm very obsessed with a song called 'She's A Flirt' by Woollim Entertainment‘s new female act, Baby Soul + Yoo Jia. It's such a great R&B song and the MV is quite surprising! The video focuses on the relationship between two girls.Although many people thinks that it's a romantic relationship but it seems just a beautiful friendship between the 2 girls. One girl broke up and the other comforted her, tried to cheer her up! 
But I really want to they fall in love with each other after that Y.Y Because the MV is so so makes viewers misunderstanding. From the scene the short girl met the tall one to the buttoning-scene and omg the bed-scene, the holding-hand-scene... >.< How could it so cute? Anyway, Let's watch the MV

Lunar New Year holiday has finally over and I have to back to school! Really don't want to do so because since you have some days off, the hardest thing ever ( in this case ) is getting back with your everyday life, with your busy schedule :( However, I have to manage to do it well.

So this is not a new artwork but very old one! He is one of my OC ( Original Character if you don't know ) His name is Zero, I guess it stands for Zero ^^; He is kind of a shy boy and really doesn't talk much. That's also a reason why he always wears that paper bag. For some reason, he doesn't want people to see his face ( he's not handsome? NO! He's way too handsome >:) ) He's afraid that if someone sees his face, that one will be frozen right away! ( kind of like Medusa hehe ) The other reason that I'm too lazy too draw his face since I was in bad mood back then. I'm so sorry Z Y.Y
It really took ma lots of time drawing the background Y.Y

Such a long time since I last drew anything Y.Y I'm such a failure

So 4 hours to the Lunar New Year in my country ( and some other countries ).
Some of you might don't know about Lunar New Year so here is some information: 

Tết Nguyên Đán, more commonly known by its shortened name Tết or "Vietnamese Lunar New Year", is the most important and popular holiday and festival in Vietnam. It is the Vietnamese New Year marking the arrival of spring based on the Chinese calendar, a lunisolar calendar. The name Tết Nguyên Đán is Sino-Vietnamese for Feast of the First Morning, derived from the Hán nôm characters 節元旦.
Tết is celebrated on the same day as Chinese New Year, though exceptions arise due to the one-hour time difference between Hanoi and Beijing resulting in the alternate calculation of the new moon. It takes place from the first day of the first month of the Lunar calendar (around late January or early February) until at least the third day. Many Vietnamese prepare for Tết by cooking special holiday foods and cleaning the house. There are a lot of customs practiced during Tết, such as visiting a person's house on the first day of the new year (xông nhà), ancestral worshipping, wishing New Year's greetings, giving lucky money to children and elderly people, and opening a shop.
Tết is also an occasion for pilgrims and family reunions. How To Draw A Chibi Character!

Hanoi - my hometown is now getting colder and colder. Today, the temperature is between 9 and 14 degree Celcius. For most Western countries, it's just a normal things but in tropical zone, it's really hard to deal with!

However, today I decide to make a tutorial about How to draw a chibi character! There are a lots of tutorial about chibi so if we have another piece, it doesn't matter right? c:

Let's take out a piece of paper and draw then!

 Today, we'll practice drawing this boy ♥

Note: use a pencil/pen that you feel comfortable when hold it and any kind of paper you want!

Firstly, draw a head shape, any shape you want like square, rectangle, triangle, ect.. 

Then draw a line from the top of the head to the bottom of it and 2 line from left to right. The first line shows you where his nose and his chin are and the 2 second lines shows where his eyes are and how big/small they are!

 

Second, draw the eyes. Any eyes you want such as sleepy ones, crazy ones ect...

I'll show you some kinds of eyes, mouth ( facial expression ) later.

Draw his hair >.< Just sketch first and if you feel sure about what hair style suits him then draw the line-art!

 I ended up with this hair style (:

Next, draw his body ^^

Choose a posture and sketch it out!

With this character, we have the ratio 1:2 which means the size of his head and his body are equal!

 Draw his clothes ^^ we don't want our characters are naked right? ( If you do it on purpose then fine! )

 As a habit, I erase the lines I drew before, but you can do it anytime you want! And never mind if some parts are also erased because we gonna line them again in the next step!

Re-draw the missing lines and all with hard/thick strokes so every detail of the character will come out clearly! 

Color the hair, uniforms, shoes...

Add and correct some parts and there he is!

So I hope that this can help you somehow! From now on, you can draw your own chibi character I'm sure (:

As i said before, here are some facial expressions but I divided them into Mouths and Eyes so I hope you won't mind! Mix them altogether and you will have some funny expressions!

Another year has passed by and I'm not very happy about that! Why? Because of the movie 2012, the prediction about the end of world :| I myself don't really believe it but I have to think about it for sometime...
